If all else fails, delete or rename the "upgrade" folder inside the wp-content folder. Then do your regular automatic upgrade. This is what I did and it worked.

Hi. Neither WPAU or update manually (by upload via CPanel) in my blog, don't work. I've changed to 777. Still don't work.

And I checked, there isn't any file in "wp-content/upgrade" directory. It's frustrating. What should I do?

Thanks.

If you have a FTP like FileZilla, check the contents of the wp-content>upgrade directory. Is the core folder there? Does it have anything in that core directory?

Hey, might you have any idea why my wordpress auto upgrade stops at "unpacking the core update" then nothing happens. It satys on at step indefinitely. What a pain in the butt!
